Why does my civic make a clunking noise when I brake?
2007 Civic Coupe EX, picked up in mid-June. 1. No, it’s not the TSB about the front suspension as shown in sticky. This is actually a problem with the front disc brake. 2. No, the CV joints are fine. 2. Basically the noise occurs right when I hit the brake at very low speed (~10km/hr).

Why does my Honda Civic squeak when I turn the wheel?
The loud squeaking, squealing noise comes from the brake guard rubbing against the brake rotor, while the car is in motion. This is an easy fix. Remove the wheel to check if the brake guard is contacting the brake rotor. If it is, simply bend it with your hand to move it out of the rotor’s way.

Why does my suspension make a clunking noise?
The bumps stops are still firmly in place. It seems to happen when the body of the car shifts rather than when a sudden shock is received, since it does not make the noise at higher speeds. When going over a larger pot hole or grid for example the suspension seems to make the normal ‘thud’ noise. Click to expand…
Why does my maxima make a clunking noise?
Part of the problem is that the struts are loose at the top because the whole assemble gets loose over time. My personal belief is that that it’s because the engine in the Maxima is not centered in the engine bay and is closer to the RHS (passenger side) of the car. My next car will be a perfectly balanced car…front & back/side to side.
