Why does my Chevy Duramax not crank up?
So after trouble shooting the ignition by sending power (12v) through the crank fuse and turning the key, found that all wiring is good. Would have to be one of the ignition fuses. Checked all fuses with test light and found 40amp ignition fuse to be bad. Replaced and attempted to start. All working as it should at this time.
What to do if your Duramax won’t start?

Why does my Silverado 2500HD no start no crank?
If it helps, usually when this happens, the first time you try to start it, it will start for like a split second and stall out. From there on it just makes a soft clicking at the relays and won’t crank. I usually do not do a lot of repairs to my truck myself.
