For example, this was happening really bad on and off, then it stopped for a day or two, I then drove over 500 miles through the White Mountains with NO problem, I come home and now this problem is back again and even worse (again off and on but more frequent).

Why does my Jeep make a pulsing sound when I idle?
The car idles and drives perfectly at slower speeds but on the highway you can really feel the pulses and hear the exact making sounds. The only way to get the pulsing to stop is to give the jeep more gas. It sounds to me like its a missfire somewhere along the engine due to the fact that the exhaust is making sounds from the pulsing.

Mileage pick up both are low compared to similar capacity vehicle (Took test ride of same brand another car, pick up same, low mileage complaint, but don’t have jerking issue).
