Starts and stops itself. if your blower is working but keeps cutting out then there are more chances of a faulty blower. I have experienced this with a Q7 fan blower. As the brushes can’t be changed EASILY, this is the best solution in my views.

Sounds like the blower resistor, or a bad connection at the resistor. You could try ‘wiggling’ the wires on the resistor and see if it comes on. Yep,the resistor is most likely your problem. I’ve been through that mess too!
