Why are the hazard lights flashing while the car is parked?
The problem I am experiencing is that the hazard lights begin flashing whilst the car is parked (with the alarm primed). Today I came home as normal, parked the car and locked it using the key fob. When I came out later this afternoon, I notice the hazard lights were flashing (quite quickly).

It could well be the alarm siren has gone down so it is actually the alarm going off caused by the faulty siren. quite possibly this is the on-board battery for your alarm siren failing. I had something very similar on mine a few months back.

If I lock my doors via the door lock button (in the car) it does not arm the alarm, just locks the doors. someone with a Cruze should see if it arms with the doorlock (not on remote fob), I would suspect it doesn’t.
