Why are lamps not connected?
Household appliances aren’t connected in series because if they were they would have to “share” the line voltage with the other appliances in the circuit. Each lamp has the same voltage across it.
Why lamps are not suitable for series connection?
A high supply voltage is required if the lamps (or other electrical devices) are to be connected in series because voltage across each connected light bulb are additive (shared) in series circuit i.e. VT = V1 + V2 + V3 +…. This way, It would not be possible for the light bulbs to get the exact rated voltage.
Can you splice two lamps together?
Yes it is very possible… Especially if the lamps are identical, and as long as the total wattage of the combined load will not exceed the ratings of the plug. The total current to be drawn must also be well within the rating of the circuit capacity where the lamps will be plugged.
Why are lamps usually connected in parallel?
The lights in most houses are connected in parallel. This means that they all receive the full voltage and if one bulb breaks the others remain on. For a parallel circuit the current from the electrical supply is greater than the current in each branch.
What happens when you connect a friendship lamp to WiFi?
You will notice that the lamp cycles through all the colours a number of times, but eventually it will turn dim red and stay like that. At this point you can connect to the Friendship Lamp’s Wifi and change the WiFi settings of the GroupID.
Why is my sengled light not connecting to WiFi?
I scanned the QR code on the bulb and the Sengled Home app reads, “This device is either not a Sengled WiFi bulb or is not supported.” What is going on? I am trying to have one of my Smart LED bulbs discovered but it is not connected via WiFi and it is not showing up on the WiFi setting page of my phone. What is going on?
How are the lights connected to each other?
The first two bulbs are glowing as the switches are at ON position while the third one bulb is switched OFF. Each connected electrical device and appliance are independent from others.
Can a lamp be added to a parallel circuit?
In parallel circuit, adding or removing one lamp from the circuit has no effect on the others lamps or connected devices and appliances because the voltage in parallel circuit is same at each point but the flowing current is different.

How can I get my Lamp to connect to WiFi?
1 – Check that the lamp or bulb is within Wi-Fi range. Go next to the bulb or lamp with your mobile, and check that you are well connected to Wi-Fi. If the bulb is too far away, it cannot connect.
Why is my light not connecting to WiFi?
Go next to the bulb or lamp with your mobile, and check that you are well connected to Wi-Fi. If the bulb is too far away, it cannot connect. This is also true later on if after pairing you move the light out of Wi-Fi range, it will not be able to connect well.
Can a friendship lamp connect to the Internet?
Friendship lamps are two or more lamps that can connect to each other over the internet. Once they are able to communicate together (usually with a unique identification number), tapping one of the lamps will light up the other! This is an amazing yet subtle way to let your partner know that you’re thinking about them.
