Do Waterman pens take standard cartridges?
Notable brands that don’t accept standard cartridges are: Parker, Sheaffer, Cross, Platignum, Platinum and Lamy. Major brands that DO use standard cartridges are Faber-Castell, Kaweco, rotring, Porsche, Caran d’Ache, Waterman, Tombow, OHTO, Pelikan, Visconti and Schneider.
Does Waterman take international cartridges?
Waterman fountain pens can be refilled with standard international-sized ink cartridges or with an ink converter and any brand of bottled ink. Waterman bottled ink is offered in all the favorite colors.
Do all fountain pens use the same cartridges?
Most modern fountain pens are crafted to accept either a disposable ink cartridge or a ink converter. Ink cartridges are usually offered in two sizes – long and short (international size). The most widely compatible ink cartridge is the international size, which can be used for 90% of all cartridge-using fountain pens.
Is Waterman a dry ink?
In general, a moderately wet ink is the best choice for beginners, and for any pen you are unfamiliar with. That’s one reason I recommend Waterman Serenity Blue over other standard blue inks — it’s moderately wet, and does very well in a wide range of pens.
Is Waterman ink water based?
We do recommend to clean your fountain pen between each ink refill. Our inks are water- soluble and will dissolve with water.
How long do fountain pen cartridges last?
Based on anecdotal evidence, the shelf life of most fountain pen inks ranges anywhere from 10 – 60 years. Unopened bottles have a much longer shelf life than opened ones, but even opened bottles can be used dozens of years after opening, as long as they are not contaminated through unhygienic use.
