The hood open sensor/switch for a CLK350, Model Year 2009 is built into the DRIVERS SIDE hood latch (there are 2 latches for the hood, one on the passenger, one on the driver’s side). Just thought I would add this if anyone is looking.

The sensor switch is on the passenger side of the hood latch. The sensor fell down from its mounting enough to where when the hood was closed it could not contact the sensor. I pulled it back in place and all was good. Fixed it. The sensor switch is on the passenger side of the hood latch.
