The cruise control amplifier on this model is inside the dash. To access it: Remove the left had cover from under the instrument panel. Remove the bolt that holds the aluminum box to the brake pedal bearing bracket. Very carefully bend back the crimps on the aluminum hosing to reveal the printed circuit board (PCB). Withdraw the PCB from the box.

The 190E/D’s cruise unit is, by far, one of the easier units to access. Across all years and models the cruise amplifier is located in the passenger side foot well.Simply remove the passenger side floor matting. Remove the plastic panel at the passenger’s feet and that silver aluminum box is the cruise unit.
