The diesel does have good low down torque, the 5 speed auto is very smooth and is actually the same excellent Japanese Aisan brand auto as in Landcruiser 5 speed models and I believe the Isuzu D’max auto’s. Aisan auto,s properly maitained and not overheated will outlast most engines in my experience!
