Jterby, Hoop brought up a good point…also when shutting down the bike, do not blip the throttle…just close throttle, use kill switch and THEN turn ignition off. This allows the ECM to remember all the “idle”, throttle position and store the DTC status.

My wife’s 2005 FLHTCUSE2 began to develop problems a few weeks ago. After a short ride, we stopped for her to get gas. On the way home, her Harley started to misfire and run poorly. I lost sight of her so I pulled over. After about 15 mins she showed up and said her bike would not stay running.

We tried to troubleshoot the problem but have been unsuccessful so far. Checked the fuel pump, getting gas, changed the plugs and checked the wires for leaks, no leaks.

How often do you ride a Harley Davidson?
For 7 years they only rode it around the neighborhood once a month. I bought it a year ago and seemed to ride well with occasional sputtering, cold start. I ride it at least 1x per week or more. Use non eth gas. Recently had stater and coil replaced, carb rebuilt, 10k service plus, plugs and wires replaced etc.
