What to do when fuel wont flow to fuel filter?
Disconnect the fuel lines from the inlet, outlet and pulse fittings on fuel pump. Remove the two mounting screws and take off the pump. Connect the pulse line to the new fuel pump and make sure opposite end is properly connected into valve cover. NOTE: Make sure the orientation of the new pump is consistent with the removed pump.
How are fuel lines connected to the fuel filter?
There are 3 hoses connected to the fuel pump, two of the hoses are fuel lines and one is the pulse line. You may have a bad fuel pump or cracks in one of the 3 hoses connected to the fuel pump. See image below. filter and fuel lines by the fuel pump. On engines not feed fuel to the carburetor.
What to do if your fuel pump is not working?
If nothing after that, then the fuel pressure regulator is not working and needs replacing. If you get pressure to the rail, then there could be a problem with the injectors; they may be either dirty or plugged up. Take the injectors off the engine and clean them with CLR.
Can a fuel pump be removed from a golf cart?
Although an inline fuel filter between the pump and tank keeps most of these elements at bay, some contaminants may still make their way inside. To get rid of them, remove the pump from the cart and disassemble it. Often, there will be just three sections separated by two diaphragms.

How do you check if fuel is flowing from the pump?
Remove spark plug, remove fuel line from carburetor and direct line into a container to see if fuel is flowing from pump when engine cranked.
How to troubleshoot no fuel going to a carburetor?
Remove and check all fuel filters located in the fuel line and in the carburetor. Replace any and all filters that can not be confirmed good or have not been changed recently. Inspect the fuel lines for leaks or kinks that might interfere with fuel flow.
Why is there no fuel going to the fuel tank?
Another logical cause could be the fuel pump. If the fuel pump is electric, the 12-volt power may be shorted. A hole in the fuel line on the tank side could also cause the fuel pump to suck air instead of fuel from the fuel tank.
What to do if there is no gas in the fuel filter?
If no leaks are found, you could do a vacuum check on the pump to see if it does draw a vacuum on its inlet side with a vacuum gauge. It should at least develop 10 in/Hg. of vacuum. You might even hook your Mighty Vac gun to the fuel line and see how easy/hard it is to suck fuel from the tank.
Change filter, start motor, let the fuel pump fill the bowl. If for some chance it will not start, pop fuel line off bulb on the motor side to get rid of the vacuum lock, give the bulb a half a dozen or so squeezes to fill the bowl and I’m good to go. Maybe you have a leak or something.
How does gas get out of the tank?
Gas will flows freely from the tank outlet. Share it! Click to remove this tagging. Your engine uses a pulse type fuel pump that pulls fuel out of the tank and through the pulse fuel pump to the carburetor bowl. There are 3 hoses connected to the fuel pump, two of the hoses are fuel lines and one is the pulse line.
