According to the drawing above, H3/1 is ‘alarm signal siren with additional battery’. CLK W209 does not have a battery in the trunk. Are you thinking about a W208?
Why does my car siren not go off?
Just the siren does not work. Mostly car sirens go off by error, so now people generally ignore them. My thinking is that breaking in and hot wiring a car to steal it is very old-school now. These days a car thief will have to obtain your key first, by subterfuge or otherwise.

A guy over on the W203 forum solved his by re-soldering the contacts: My CLK has never beeped when locking/unlocking the doors remotely. All the required lights flash 3 times, but no beeps. I have assumed that this is a ‘market’ issue, and the UK market does not need a beep. After all – what good does it do?
