I once had a Rover with a Honda box using engine oil, that needed 6 (box) oil changes in the 130,000 Miles I owned it. We also had a Polo in the family that used hypoid oil and no changes in 17 years and 120,000 miles. Both were fine at the end, but I did worry about getting grit into the Honda box on the plugs due to all the changes.
