What kind of headlights does a Jaguar XF have?
Some Jaguars have high intensity discharge headlights, sometimes referred to as xenon lights. These bulbs have a very high voltage that runs through them, even if the battery is disconnected. If your XF has this type of bulb, we do not recommend that you attempt to change it yourself.
Why are my headlight bulbs melting on my XF?
At the end of the article I show also a common problems with the non-HID setup which is the melting of the connector, how to fix it and where to get a new one for cheap. Enjoy! What it doesn’t mention is how fragile the top mounting flanges or lugs are. Be VERY careful with them.

I have get a Right Headlight Main Beam Dipped error on my Audi A4 B8 black edition, the xenon light comes on for roughly 30 seconds and the error appears on dashboard which then triggers the bulb to go off. Where are the fuses for the dipped headlights?
So on to the the fuse box. It appears that my car has just the one relay (R5) in the engine compartment fuse box to operate both headlights on dipped beam (although the wiring diagram I’ve seen suggests that there should be two, relays R11a and R9b – however these don’t exist in my fuse box!). Out with the multimeter.
Why are my halogen dipped headlights not working?
It’s only the halogen main beams that work, the xenon units don’t light up on either dipped or main beam. I tried swapping a few relays but this didn’t seem to do anything. And it’s now raining outside so I’ve given up for this evening! I think there is a single relay for both dipped lights so if it goes it would stop both. Do the front fogs work?
