What kind of transmission do I need for a Ford F-800?
For a transmission i would like a spicer 5 or 6 speed stick shift. Is 75w90 gear lube what they use as a standard for manual transmissions these days /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif. I would like to have 4×4 on this truck as well.

Far as I know there are no 4 valve 429’s. the truck engines have a bigger shout on the crank, and “basically” that is it… the 4V stands for venturi, not valve. I am buying an 82 F-800 with a 429 4v in it an am in need of any info that pertains to the commercial 385 blocks etc.
