Regarding alternators, the only one to consider getting is a Denso remanufactured unit. Just as good as OEM and much cheaper. As John Clark has advised here many times, anything else is inferior junk and will fail quickly. Of note, most of the alternators that get rebuilt are probably Denso, and quality depends on the rebuilder.

Why is my Honda alternator not charging the battery?
I was in the process of limping it home when I realized that the alternator was not charging the battery (pulled the negative cable off the battery and the van died). No bid deal, Im a mechanic so I went to Advance Auto Parts and got a replacement alternator. Put it on, charge the battery and problem solved for a while.
