What is the purpose of a color run?
The Color Run, also known as the Happiest 5K on the Planet, is a unique event that celebrates healthiness, happiness, and individuality.
Where is the Colour run?
Colour Run Sydney is held at the Sydney Olympic Park this year. Get super-charged as you crash through double the colour in new colour zones, and then take off and fly through the skies of dreamy foam clouds!
Is the Colour run free?
However, The Color Run is a non-competitive and untimed 5k filled with color that you can experience with friends and family. You’re free to run, jog, walk, or cartwheel along the course!
Does a color run ruin your clothes?
Will the color ruin my clothes or running shoes? The color mostly washes out after the event. As with anything dirty, the sooner you wash it the better. It’s best to wear items that you wouldn’t mind getting colorful.
How long does the Color Run last?
Depending on how fast you walk or run, expect the Color Run to last anywhere from 20 to 40 minutes (although very fast folks can complete the run in under 15 minutes!).
Are color runs safe?

March 2011
The Color Run/First event date
In March 2011, it was first held in Phoenix, Arizona with 6,000 people joined. It was created by Travis Snyder, a Utah native and event producer. His idea was to encourage professionals and novices to have fun together.

The Colour Run is a rain, rainbow and shine event. We’ll only consider postponing or cancelling the event when safety is at stake. Is water supplied? We encourage all Colour Runners to bring a bottle of water with them to keep hydrated.
