How do you fit GoatLink?
Instructions:
- Mount bicycle in workstand.
- Disengage rear derailleur clutch.
- Remove rear wheel.
- Remove chain from chainring.
- If present, use small screwdriver or E-clip tool to remove E-clip from back of Direct Mount screw.
- Use 5mm Allen key to remove Direct Mount screw from rear derailleur.
Does GoatLink affect shifting?
Goat Wrangler Chain wrap doesn’t directly impact shifting- it’s free chain (the distance from the top derailleur pulley to the cassette) that impacts shifting performance. What the GoatLink does do is keep the chain from wearing as rapidly as it would with an extra-long B-screw- which will lead to poor shifting.

Yes you can run a 9/10/11 & 12 speed cassette on a shimano free hub, a Sunrace 12 speed will fit. XTR 12 speed is completely different setup!

The GoatLink 11 mounts only to standard derailleur hangers. Double chainrings (2x) is supported and requires a long cage (SGS) rear derailleur with no more than a 12t difference in front chainrings (with an 11-46t cassette).

Here is how to take that measurement: The GoatLink is optimized for use with Wolf Tooth’s 40- and 42-tooth GCs and all sizes of Drop-Stop chainrings – but will work with any 11-40t or 11-42t 10-speed cassette. Direct Mount-native frames and SRAM rear derailleurs are not supported.
