Hi all, I have a Nissan Juke from 2012. It has been running perfectly and still does even with this issue. About 6 months ago I remember breaking pretty heavily at some traffic lights which traffic safety cameras. I was doing around 50MPH and i broke hard, but not an emergency stop, just a somewhat heavy break.

Mine did something similar and turned out to be a faulty ABS sensor. Take it to your local Nissan dealer. The EPS is its own system and most scan tools don’t pick up on it.
When does the skid and ESP light come on?
The skid and ESP light has also randomly started coming on, but only occasionally. Usually switching the engine off/on resolves the ESP and skid lights. Car had it’s MOT last week at my local Nissan dealer, and the skid/ESP light has only started coming on since (albeit infrequently).

Can a Nissan consult pick up the EPs?
The EPS is its own system and most scan tools don’t pick up on it. The Nissan Consult will be able to decipher what is going on. It could be a multitude of things. Did you find the recommended reading relevant to this discussion?
