What does it mean when the temperature light comes on on a Honda?

If the light comes on and the cooling fan doesn’t then it is a big deal. That would mean the cooling system isn’t working properly and you run the chance of overheating it without knowing. If it’s just the systems check when the key switch is just switched to on then that is normal.

Why does the oil temperature light stay on on my Honda Foreman 450?

I have a 2000 Honda Foreman 450 and the Oil/Temperature light stays on and I cannot figure out how to get rid of it. It is Intermittent but even as soon as you start it, it sometimes goes on so its definately not overheating. If you would have the steps on how to fix it that would be wonderful!!

How old is the oil temp sensor on a Honda ATV?

So with a 19 year old ATV I just bit the bullet and ordered a new oil temp sensor, oil temp sensor lead wire and a fan control unit. Replaced everything and its working like brand new. Did it for less that $200 and took a couple of Saturday afternoons.

Why does the oil temp light keep coming on?

Most of the time it’s the fan control unit that is bad if that is the situation. If the light is on and the fan is running then I would guess a short somewhere. The fan control unit turns the fan on and off plus the oil temp light. I would guess the circuit for the temp light in the unit is messing up.
