If the play disappears the wheel bearing is worn, it it doesn’t then you have wear in a suspension component. Clicking can also indicate a worn CV joint which you have on the driveshafts & it’s simpler to fit a reconditioned/new shaft than mess about fitting new joints to the existing shaft.
