What causes coolant to leak in a 2005 Chevy Tahoe?
See all problems of the 2005 Chevrolet Tahoe . The Tahoe has known faulty castech cylinders which cause coolant to leak with no explanation. Over the winter I have had unexplained coolant/antifreeze issue with no found leaks (coolant would be bone dry after a couple weeks of filling it).

There are a couple of freeze plugs on the back of the block. If it is one of these you will have water coming out the bottom of the bell housing because these are located behind the flywheel. There are no plugs on the ends of the heads.The water ports are at the bottom of the cylinder so any leak from there you would see on the side of the motor.
