Is Sliderock safe?
The pool at the bottom of the falls is eight feet deep so it’s not safe for those who are unable to handle the plunge and depth. Children younger than 7 years old must slide with an adult. Pets are allowed in the area, but they must be on a leash and cannot slide down the rock.

The water temperature at Sliding Rock rarely climbs above 50 degrees Fahrenheit, so the pool at the bottom of the slippery rock is a perfect way to cool down in the summertime! If the weather is cooler, or you’d rather stay dry, enjoy views of Sliding Rock from one of several observation platforms!

The air temperature was in the mid to upper 90s. I’d estimate that the water temperature is in the mid 60s. It’s really cold when you first get in; but it’s refreshing once you get used to it.
