Is there Rust in the radiator on the Pulsar N16 2005?

I bought Nissan Pulsar N16 2005 car recently and noticed that there is water reduction in the reservoir tank. I removed the thermostat as well now it circulates all the time. I can see rust in the radiator.

What causes a Nissan Pulsar N16 to overheat?

1. After running for 10-15 min I can see bubbles in the reservoir tank. 2. After driving for more than one hour the water overflows in the reservoir tank and the system starts to overheat (sudden rise in the heater gauge) 3. No engine miss at all, no oil in the radiator, no water in the oil tank.

What’s the problem with my 2004 Nissan Pulsar?

I have a 2004 n16… I have a 2004 n16 nissan pulsar 1.8 that has an overheating problem. It has been to radiator place and had a complete clean and power flush and the thermostat is working fine. It has been to the mechanic and he has fitted a new water pump, pressure tested the engine for cracked head/leaking gasket and checks are fine.

How do you test a Nissan Pulsar thermostat?

Test the thermostat by suspending it in a beaker of water and boiling the water. Sometimes if the thermostat is not opening enough, it would restrict the coolant flow. By the way when the temperature gauge rises, does the radiator fans work non stop? Ask Your Own Nissan Question Customerreply replied 11 years ago

What to do about blown gasket on 2005 pulsar?

My 2005 N16 pulsar has apparently a blown gasket, as diagnosed by the Nissan dealer. The oil and coolant look fine to the eye but it still over heats. T-stat, water pump and radiator have been replaced. Nissan quoted $1700 for a VRS kit installation, more if its the cylinder head.
