I covered the bare metal under it with rubber to ensure that I wouldn’t ground, then screwed a nut and washer ON TOP of the wire, instead of the normal setup which is nut, wire, nut+washer (broken post).

Why is the 80A fuse stuck in the socket?
The other thing that bothers me is that in the fuse box under the hood, the 30A and 40A fuses that are marked AM1 and AM2 pull out rather easily, but the 80A ALT fuse is stuck in the socket, It almost seems as though it welded itself, but if that were the case I would think the fuse would melt and blow first.
