Is the power window on my Jeep Compass stuck?
I have been driving the jeep with no passenger window, yesterday my driver window decided to do the same thing and is stuck down. The dealership was able to get the window up and disconnect the power to the passenger door window switch. It’s cold and I need to get this issue fixed.

How to fix auto up window on Jeep?
Drive the glass to the full-down position by pushing down on (depress) the window switch until the window glass is fully open. Do not release the window switch. Continue to hold the window switch down for 30 seconds after the window glass is fully open. Confirm that the express-up module has been de-normalized by attempting an express-up cycle.

Your Jeep Compass’s power window motors can and do fail over time. You’ll have to take the door panel off to get to it. A lot of them are riveted in, so be prepared to deal with that. If you’ve verified that it is getting power with a voltmeter, but it is not working, it’s time to get a new one.

Can you reset the up / down window on a jeep?
Yes, you can reset it but the problem will keep recurring unless you have the TSB performed. As 5253 pointed out, sooner or later you’ll have to have the TSB performed. On most 08’s, it’ll just be a reflash. A much higher percentage of the 06 and 07 required motor replacement as well.

If your window went down but will not come up with either the driver door switch or that windows door switch try this if you need to get your window up. Flush the master switch side with isopropyl alcohol. Dump a bunch in there and try working switch back & forth. This will help clean out dirt, water and resulting corrosion on contacts on circuit.

Had that happen with windows on my 99 laredo 4.7 QD. The main control module went bad on drivers side. Power window motor went on passenger door. Main control module was $240 list my chrysler emply. price was 170 which was still pricey. Had a buddy install them every was fine after that.
