How does the fuel range meter work in Honda Civic?
So what you’re saying is this fuel range meter works way different than the one in the 15 Civic. That one would increase or decrease its max range based on your current driving habits. So if say it said range 300 miles and i started driving and getting better mpg it would go up as it was taking that into mind.
How to reset the average fuel consumption / mpg display?
It appears the only way to reset it is to fill up the tank, or turn off the truck. Wife has a 16′ 4Runner and hers resets by holding down her middle button as described in the owners manual. Just for the sake of carrying around more weight?

Don’t know what they did but they knew what it was. The IMID does not display odometer, trip, range, or economy, this is fixed with a software update. Disconnecting the battery may reset and work for a while, but is not a permanent fix for the problem.

It also never goes up if the estimated MPG increases it will usually just stay stuck on the miles range it last showed for a while (example: it said 268 range miles and never changed and i drove 50 miles and it finally started dropping) its weird.
