Why does my Nissan blower fan keep blowing?
It is a little resistor board and you will see a burnt spot on it. You simply need a new blower motor resistor. It is recommended to test the amperage draw of the blower motor to see if this is the reason for blowing the resistor but the fact is on Nissan you simply need a resistor.

How does a Nissan X Trail heater work?
At the simplest level possible, the heater works by passing hot coolant from the engine into a tiny radiator called the heater core. At this point, the blower motor blows air across the it and the newly heated air blows on to the driver and passengers. If the heater has stopped working in your X-Trail, this process has failed in one way or another.
Why is my X Trail fan not working?
If you can only get the fan to work on the 4th speed setting (i.e. the switch will not work for 1, 2 and 3) then your resistor board (may be known as temperature controller)is faulty or simply broken. The resistor board is used for 1,2 and 3 speeds and is simply a bunch of resistors to drop the voltage supplied to the fan.
