What was the problem with my Nissan Elgrand?
I have a 2003 Nissan Elgrand (E51) 4WD. I recently had the front passenger wheel bearing replaced. I purchased a non nissan bearing. This bearing turned out to be faulty as the ABS magnetic ring was sitting too far away from the ABS sensor. This caused the ABS/Slip/VDC warning lights to come up on the dash.

How to clear an ABS code on a Nissan Elgrand?
Nissan Mechanic: Jay, Nissan Technician replied 3 years ago Once a ABS code or 4WD code is stored, those systems can only be cleared with a scanner. Disconnecting the battery for 15 mins is a master reset. That will clear engine codes, but normally does not clear ABS or 4WD codes.
