My 2012 MB C180 petrol auto is very slow to respond to the throttle if I need to speed up quickly down a slip road to join a motorway or dual carriageway. I push the accelerator and it takes at least 1 second to respond.

How long does it take for a Mercedes C class to respond?
A third of a second maybe (easily long enough to floor the throttle and raise it again without the revs moving), but a second is ludicrous! When you say “takes at least one second to respond”, do you mean it does absolutely nothing for a second and then suddenly takes off quite happily? Or do the revs rise and the car doesn’t accelerate?
