Is the 1984 Suzuki RM 125 still raceable?
For instance, an 87 CR 250 is only 3 years newer, and it’s still raceable. Almost anything since 1990 is still very competitive, will be much easier to get parts for and will hold up much better. A 84 RM 125 IMO, really isn’t (maybe for a 125# beg), and it will be a money pit.
Is the Suzuki RM 125 a Money Pit?
A 84 RM 125 IMO, really isn’t (maybe for a 125# beg), and it will be a money pit. Ok, back to the shock, I don’t think the KX shock is going to work, they were both 40 mm KYB bodies, but Works Performance lists specs for both shocks and shows yours to have an eye to eye length of 16.25″, and the KX to be 15.38″.
What kind of shock does an 83-85 125 use?
I’d suggest you use the Works Performance site to see what all bikes used the same length shock. It looks like the 83-85 125 used the same 40mm shock, and the 82-85 RM 250 and 82-84 RM 465/500 used the same length, but a 46mm body.
How big is a 72 Motosport 350 Fork?
I saw the ’72 SL-350 “Motosport 350” was in the 35mm section but as you said did not find the 71 listed. So I added it in the 33mm section between the CL-350 and the CB 360, and a little research showed both the 70 and 71 were K1’s so I thought it would be safe to include both years… I’m glad I could contribute a little. Thanks for adding it!

Do you need to repair Forks on a motorcycle?
The point is this. If your fork tubes are dinged and rough they will wear out any new fork seals we put in. The cure is new fork tubes. If the forks look OK, and you ride a lot, it might be a good idea to put on some gators. Now on to the repair. This will cover about 85 % of the forks out there.
How do you take a fork tube out of a motorcycle?
Take the allen bolt out, and the fork tube should slide right out. Look at the top of the fork leg for the dust cover and gently pry it up with a screw driver. Under it you will find a circlip. There are several different kinds and you may need a special tool to get it out. Sometimes, the tube will come right out very easily.
