Is D3 and D4 the same?
Well, they are two different forms of Vitamin D, with D4 being found in certain species of mushroom. D3 is the form that humans use. The applications of D4 is not very well known. Depending on what supplements you are taking, this step may include more than just avoiding taking your vitamin D capsules.

Don’t redline it for extended periods of time. But if you say, don’t drive over 30 mph, then staying in D3 is ok. If you sense that its better if the transmission upshifts at a certain speed, then don’t keep it in D3. It’s not necessarily bad as long as you don’t keep it in the red, your gas mileage will suffer.
How fast should you drive in D3?
Driving in D3 does not make your car any faster. The reason you feel more power is that say when you are in D3 at around 30-35 mph; your car is in third gear. It is recommended that D be used for regular driving.
