Another tip is that we set the timing marks in place with the engine at TDC. These first marks are where you want to line up the crank pulley at TDC…. Now when you take the crank pulley and last timing belt cover off, you will see the crankshaft TDC marks here…. and a close up pic without the arrows…..

Where is the timing mark on the rear camshaft?

Rear camshaft, note the arrow indicating the mark on the backing plate. The timing of the belt looks 1/4 tooth off due to the angle of the camera but is correct (compare the sprocket mark to the backing mark and belt mark to the sprocket mark).
