Tighten the nut for the electrical cable ( positive +) between 15-18Nm. Plug the electrical cable on the back of alternator and make sure it clicks when you push it in. That way you know it is locked in place. Reinstall the serpentine belt, the engine cover and the reconnect the battery. 2 Bolts that hold the alternator in place. Max 45 Nm.

Remove the ac compressor (5A.3, & 4 Haynes 4748.) Remove five E12 bolts (using female Torx socket) from the compressor and suspend (to protect the refrigerant hose connections) with narrow cable ties away from the alternator so that the alternator mounting bolts can clear the compressor as they these bolts are long.

Have a medium flat head screwdriver at hand to remove the main connection plastic cover protector from the alternator and also two loaded ratchets 10mm and 13mm ready to remove the nuts holding the cables (that are not visible yet.)
