How to change the rear brake pads on a Yamaha Grizzly?

With the caliper removed, use a flathead screwdriver to pry the old pads open a bit. This will compress the pistons inside the caliper and make room for new pads with more braking material. Step 4.
Is the rear wet brake good on a Kodiak?
Not sure if these were the issues offroader is referring to. the rear wet brake isn’t like having a set of discs, but bear in mind this bike was build for utility.. front brakes are great as expected from disc, the rear work well.. just don’t expect disc brake performance.. If you squeeze the handle hard enough it will lock rear tires..
Why are my rear brakes not working on my Grizzly?
After having the adjustment, I went riding later that day and my rear brakes totally locked up- you could not move the hand or foot brake, and the rear tires were not moving. After a few minutes, the brakes finally released and I was able to limp it back home.
Why does my kodaik 700 have poor braking?
From promotional material the Kodaik 700 seems to have great stopping power. well for sure you’re going to get poor braking performance from anything if you’re using the rear brake exclusively… Is this the issue where the rear brake gets stuck or were they just not stop [ping fast enough?

Why are the brakes on my Grizzly 660 not working?
Hey folks- I’m having some brake trouble with my ’03 Grizzly 660. I took it to a mechanic for service, and told them to adjust the rear brakes because they seemed to be soft and not grabbing well.
