Q: When will I hear back about what credits have transferred to UMD? The transfer credit evaluation process usually begins for newly admitted students two weeks after the receipt of your admission letter. This process can continue, however, throughout your first semester.
Where can I see my UMD decision?
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions will send you an email to notify you when your admission decision is ready. When you receive this email, you can view your admission decision online by logging in to the Terps Application Portal.

When is the deadline for the UMD transfer application?
If you are unable to complete your application by the early action deadline, you are strongly encouraged to submit a completed application and all required materials by the regular deadline which is June 1 for fall admission and November 15 for spring admission.

In recognition of the ongoing COVID-19 impacts on our prospective students, UMD has decided to extend its practice to make SAT and ACT scores optional for the Spring and Fall of 2022 and 2023 application cycles.
When do I get my UMD admission decision?
For admitted students who applied by the fall early action deadline of March 1 or the spring early action deadline of August 1, financial aid (and merit scholarship decisions for fall applicants only) will be released electronically within two to three weeks following the decision release.
