How long does an Altima last?
The Nissan Altima has proven that it is a dependable and reliable car. Unfortunately, we do not have a crystal ball, so we can’t say for sure how long a Nissan Altima will last, but there is evidence to support that a well-cared for Altima can keep on driving past 200,000 miles or more than 10 years!
Is there a problem with my Nissan Altima?
Speed sensor seems to be the problem. So far no trouble. These cars are a piece of junk. Nissan knew they had this problem but no recall but on reprogramming computer that does not work. Why does my Nissan Altima go into limp in mode?

Why does my Nissan Altima not accelerate when the light turns green?
Sometimes when a red light and when the light turns green i put my foot on gas pedal and car would not move for few seconds and then finally it would go. Sometimes i have to pull to the side and turn off and the car and restart so it reboots because the car does not accelarate normally at all no matter how many times i try to accelerate.
Is there a climate control on an Altima?
Even without automatic climate control, the vents are still electronically controlled by pushbutton, as are most car over $15k these days, as opposed to a mechanical linkage as some economy cars have. I have just experienced the same problem with my 2008 Altima coming back from a trip to Pittsburgh last Sunday.

Every once and a while it has poor acceleration from stop and very occasionally it revs high rpm without shifting. I solve the high rpm issue by stopping, turning the car off and waiting 15 seconds before restarting.

Can a Nissan Altima transmission be replaced after 74, 000 miles?
Took it to Nissan dealership and they said transmission needed to be replaced with 74,000 miles on it. Nissan Consumer Affairs would not cover the cost of the transmission failure even though they found the CVT fluid was burned which it is not suppose to burn.
