Why is the sun shade stuck on my Mercedes?

What to do if rear sun shade gets stuck?
When I tested the shade with a spare 12v battery before putting it back into the car it ran up and down very well. Holding the shade outside of the vehicle (need a helper of course) I connected it to the wiring harness connector and tested it with the switch on the dash. Again, it worked well. Put everything back together and it operates fine.

Why is my window shade not rolling back up?
If you find yourself having to tug on the shade several times to get it to roll back up, then the spring just doesn’t have enough tension. You’ll probably notice that the shade cloth is not very tightly wound on the roller. The solution then is to remove the shade, find a flat surface and reroll the shade back on it’s roller.
