How do you unlock a Ironkey without password?
There are no back doors to an IronKey Basic device. In other words, there is no way to unlock it if you forgot the password. If you have enabled device reset, you can reset the device back to its pre-setup state. However, all on-board data will be permanently lost.
What if you forgot your Ironkey password?
You had the option to back up your password online to your my.ironkey.com account during the setup steps when you first got the drive (see attached image). That way, if you ever forget your password, you can safely log into https://my.ironkey.com and recover it.
