How do you put transmission fluid in a 2007 Mercedes E350?
There is an overflow tube inside the drain plug hole, and if you knock it off, you have to pull the pan to replace it before filling. Run the engine until the trans is 35 Celsius, then leave it running in park. Open the drain/fill plug. If you get fluid out (a significant amount, not drips), you are full.

How much fluid do you need to flush a Mercedes?
You have a convertor drain plug, drain it & open the pan. Then change the filter + seal & fill it with 8L of fluid. If you want to flush, you will need 14L of fluid……..Stick to correct torque for the pan bolts. I’ve been chasing various oil leaks for years.
You will need 10 quarts of transmission fluid. Mercedes-Benz recommends that you use the MBZ ATF 236.14 transmission fluid. The only problem is that that oil sells for around $20 per liter. If you are looking for an alternative to Mercedes-Benz oil, we would recommend the Valvoline MaxLife or the Shell 134 transmission fluid.
