How do you open the fuel cap on a Jaguar XF?
Operate as follows:
- Press and release the rear of the fuel filler flap to unlatch.
- Pull the flap open. The label on the inside of the flap indicates the correct fuel for the vehicle.
- Turn the filler cap counter-clockwise to undo.
- Use the fuel cap storage feature to keep the filler cap out of the way while fuelling.
Where are oil leaks on a Jaguar XF club?
Check for any oil leaks around the base of the throttle body housing, near to the oil filter and coolant housing, this would indicate a split at the rear.

When does smoke start in a Jaguar XF club?
This happens mostly between 1800 to 2000 RPM with gentle throttle pressure, but occassionally does happen under hard acceleration. I have had a smoke test done (not convinced by it though) and nothing was shown.
Is the XF’s premium a restricted performance car?

Where was the flap on my Jaguar XF stuck?
I stopped at a petrol station in Weedon Bec (on the A5, Northants) yesterday and was approached by another xf driver who couldn’t get the flap that covers the fuel-filler cap open. He’d called Jaguar Assistance but asked me if I’d come across the problem before.
How do you get fuel filler out of a Jaguar?
File off the nipple on the very end of the arm. Grease the bar and providing it’s not the motor it should be ok. To get to the arm pull the cap out and slide and the top plate of the cap comes off to reveal the arm. I never noticed the nipple. I’ve oiled everything now with bicycle oil as it was either that or WD40.
Can a 2010 Jaguar XF lock and unlock?
2010 XF car will not lock or unlock from the fob. Been to jlr specialist who put it on the computer generated no fault codes and passed all tests. The car know you are trying to lock and unlock and which key you are trying with.
