How do you change a rear wiper motor on a Jeep Wrangler?
- Step 1 – Remove the plastic housing.
- Step 2 – Begin to remove the motor housing from the rear window.
- Step 3 – Remove the plastic housing on the wiper blade.
- Step 4 – Remove the nut and wiper arm.
- Step 5 – Loosen the nozzle to remove the entire assembly.
- Step 6 – Install the new motor assembly (if desired)
Why are my wipers not working on my Jeep?
Today my wipers randomly came on and now won’t cut off. Nothing on the steering column stalks works… Wipers, signals, lights, brights, fog lights, panel dimmer, washer, rear wiper washer. It is all “stuck” with panel fairly dim, lights on, fog lights off, and rear wiper odd but front wipers on.

My squirters work just fine, its just the windshield wipers. The wiper motor is fairly cheap, I have seen them on Ebay for around $35. You have to unbolt the struts from the windshield frame and lay the frame out on the hood to switch the wiper motor.

You have to unbolt the struts from the windshield frame and lay the frame out on the hood to switch the wiper motor. Getting the plug undone is the tricky part. The part that is on the motor side will fit through the opening in the top of the dash, but the part on the Jeep harness side doesn’t.
Where is fuse 14 on Jeep Wrangler washer pump?
Can’t see your profile/year. Bullethead, it’s probably not the fuse but the wipers are on fuse 14 which is 20a. The washer pump is on the same fuse so if that works the fuse is good. Here is a link to a photo of the panel & label on the cover.
