Zac, I do it backwards of a car kinda. Get the fluid to drop to the brake bleed nut, then flick the brake lever to get the bubbles out. once you stop seeing bubbles come out of the line, you should be set. Alternate between squeezing & flicking. Sounds dumb, but it works.
