How does the HICP measure inflation in Europe?
The HICP measures the changes over time in the prices of consumer goods and services acquired by households. The HICP gives a comparable measure of inflation in the euro area, the EU, the European Economic Area and for other countries including accession and candidate countries.
How often does the HICP data come out?
Monthly HICP data are published twice a month. A flash estimate for the euro area is published at the end of the month followed by the full series of indices for Member States and at European level, including HICP at constant taxes, approximately two weeks later (see release schedule ).

When do the weights of COICOP come out?
