Does the cooling fan have a fuse?
Hear this out loudPauseThe cooling fan relay is normally located in either the underhood fuse and relay center or mounted to the electric fan assembly behind the radiator. Keep area around the fan blade clear in order to avoid injury.
Where is cooling fan relay?
Hear this out loudPauseThe fan relay is usually located near the bottom of the engine compartment on a metal frame member. The metal acts as a heat sink to keep the fan relay cool. So, unplug the connector at the relay and repeat the check for power. If you get power, you’ve got a bum relay.
What is the fan relay?
Hear this out loudPauseThe cooling fan relay is the relay that controls the engine’s cooling fans. When the correct parameters are met, a temperature switch or the computer will activate the relay, which will allow power to the fans.
Why is my Jaguar radiator fan not running?
Radiator fan should run when the compressor runs. The same relay activates both, separate from the cooling system relay, at least if Jaguar uses the same system as other makers. If your AC is not up to pressure or is over pressuring then neither the compressor nor the radiator ran will run.
Why is my Jaguar X type not turning on?
If they did the coolent temperature sensor could be bad not telling the fans to come on when the vehicle reaches normal operating temperature. 1 people found this helpful. Now if fan does not come on when A.C is turned on then check for power going to fans , fuse and relay. 1 people found this helpful. Fan control module is bad.
What’s the life of a Jaguar XF cooling fan?
I know that the usual life expectancy of a similar fan on a Rover 75 is 60,000 to 70,000 miles. Is this typical for Jaguar XF? So, if I get the cooling fan replaced / up and running will the air con spring back to life (assuming it is fully gassed and has no leaks?)
Why does my car have a radiator fan?
You probably already know the purpose of the radiator and the cooling system in your car. When you are driving fast, the wind is passing through the radiator to cool the coolant down without issues, but when you are driving slow, there is no wind pushed through the radiator. This is why we use a radiator fan.

Why are the cooling fans not working on my car?
1. Engine running hot 2. Cooling fans do not function 3. Cooling fans stay on at all times Average rating from 129,472 customers who received a Vehicle Engine Cooling Inspection. Most modern vehicles use electric cooling fans to help pull air through the radiator so that it can keep the engine cool.
What should I do if my radiator fan is not working?
A blown fuse is no big deal, and changing one does not cost a lot of money. If your car’s radiator fan is non-functional, check your car’s user manual and locate the fuse for the radiator fan controller or the fan. The fan itself often uses a big fuse of around 50A, while there might also be a separate small fuse to the fan control module.
