If it’s an ’09 or newer, it’s on the bottom of the frame behind the rear driver side tire. The two wires going to the switch just need to be connected. Have you cleaned the connection at the switch and applied dielectric grease to the contacts? I’ve never seen on of those switches actually fail, but I suppose that anything is possible.
