Can you quit AmeriCorps NCCC?
AmeriCorps VISTA members who elect the Education Award as their end-of-service award, and who have served at least 50 percent of their service term, may need to early terminate from their term of service due to circumstances related to COVID-19.
Can you be fired from AmeriCorps?
If the member does not secure reassignment within the prescribed opportunity period, the member is terminated from AmeriCorps VISTA service for lack of suitable assignment. In some instances, such an early termination from the AmeriCorps VISTA program would be for a non-cause reason.
How many years can you serve with AmeriCorps?
AmeriCorps NCCC- no limit on service terms, but members may NOT serve more than two consecutive NCCC terms without a break of at least 10 months before serving again. AmeriCorps State and National- four terms. AmeriCorps VISTA- five total years of service.
How do I apply for NCCC?
Application for Enrolment A student desirous of being enrolled in the Senior Division shall apply to the Officer Commanding of the nearest NCC Unit; while a student desirous of being enrolled in the Junior Division should apply to the Headmaster/Principal of the school in the prescribed form.

Do AmeriCorps members get vacation?
AmeriCorps members will have five personal days that they can use during their service year, for sick days, interview days, vacation days, etc. If you are ahead of your hours and will not miss any mandatory days, you may request additional time off from your direct supervisor.
