You should then be able to open the trunk via the remote, strip the trunk lock and clean it !!!!! If all else fails get the drill out, remove the license plate, drill the hole, a finger opens the lock – 5 minute job. Get a rubber gromit to fill the hole, re-instal the license plate. The license plate covers the hole, nobody will ever know !

We just purchased a 2007 EOS but can’t get the trunk to open or the roof to go down. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Does the trunk make any noise when trying to open? Does it work with remote or door switch? If not, in the rear seat remove the center arm rest and use the manual open release. I did see that and will try.
