Can a car shift from 2nd to 3rd gear?
Has close to 250,000 miles, never had transmission problem before. will not shift from 2nd to 3rd gear on an automatic transmission. Also found a vacuum line near to transmission disconnected but not sure where it goes. How much is the cost to replace them?

I take it out, and sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn’t. 2nd to 3rd, 3rd to 4th is problem. If you can hit 4th the rest is OK. Downshift no problem. Clutch works fine.
